Taking advantage of an existing seaside constructionby turning it into a polymorphicrestaurant and bar area was owner’s original concept.
The existing storehousegives its place to the food preparation area while an outside bar, public toilets,a covered restaurant area and an outdoor spa are added. According to national law, the new facilitiesshould not be solid constructions but should be detachable,made of environmental friendly materials that are also resistant to the sun andsea.
The solution was givenby a wooden “wave” consisted of parallel beams, which while it is a buildingelement, it simultaneously shades the spaces. Vertical and horizontal glass surfaces enclose tight the various spaces.
Η εκμετάλλευση μιαςπαραθαλάσσιας κατασκευής, μετατρέποντάς την σε ένα πολυμορφικό χώρο εστίασης,ήταν η αρχική ιδέα του ιδιοκτήτη.
Η υπάρχουσα αποθήκη δίνειτη θέση της στο χώρο παρασκευαστηρίου, ενώ προστίθεται έναεξωτερικό μπαρ, τααποχωρητήρια για το κοινό, ένας σκεπαστός χώρος εστίασηςκαι ένα υπαίθριο υδρομασάζ. Σύμφωναμε την νομοθεσία, οι υπό προσθήκη εγκαταστάσεις δεν θα πρέπει να είναι σταθερές κατασκευές αλλά να αποσυναρμολογούνται ενώ παράλληλα θα πρέπεινα αποτελούνται από υλικά φιλικά προς το περιβάλλον και ανθεκτικά στον ήλιο και στη θάλασσα.
